This is a support topic for GeneratePress Premium

The intention of this topic is to give you the opportunity to discuss problems and difficulties with other Festinger Vault customers, e.g. how to address incompatibilities or fix bugs, report malfunctioning features, or get help on how to configure this download.

To request an update of a particular theme or plugin, kindly let us know your preferred version number and we will update it as soon as possible. Although update requests usually do not make much sense because we publish them as soon as they are available and we have the time to upload them.

GeneratePress Premium has been updated to 2.1.2

Can’t download the new version. Tried a few times, a few minutes apart. I get the download popup after clicking the initial download button, but nothing happens when I click download.

I get this erorr while trying to upload the 2.1.2:

Fatal error : Cannot redeclare generate_premium_load_modules() (previously declared in /home/mywebsite/public_html/mywebsite.com/wp-content/plugins/gp-premium-2/gp-premium.php:123) in /home/mywebsite/public_html/mywebsite.com/wp-content/plugins/gp-premium/gp-premium.php on line 132

I have updated GP to the new version on several sites and I did not get any errors. Must be some sort of confict maybe.

That’s really odd. What version of WordPress are you using?

I am usually updating themese and modules manually so I could restore immediately the previous version. Safer this say.

Maybe it will help others:

  1. Upload the plugin .zip file in the Plugins directory
  2. Rename the outdated plugin folder adding a dot (.gp-premium for example)
  3. Extract the files of the updated plugin, which will create a new gp-premium folder
  4. Go to my website, clear cache, check if it loads correctly and that it functions as expected
  5. Optionally get back to the plugins folder to delete the dot folder and the zip file

Fortunatelly ao far so good, never had any issues with Festinger’s plugins.

i can’t get split theme in generatepress to work
menu can’t be added and it mess with the homepage, please check

Got this error:

Can you check the initial zip package to see if you got the theme inside and only the theme files? Usually theme vendors deliver a whole bunch of files and folders, with instructions and graphics. And maybe whoever uploaded it here forgit to extract thw theme only.
