Festinger plugin Error

I’ve started to receive this notice on my site. I’ve had to disble the plugin for now to prevent the error from showing to customers.

Notice : Function register_rest_route was called incorrectly . The REST API route definition for fv_endpoint/v1/fvforceupdate is missing the required permission_callback argument. For REST API routes that are intended to be public, use __return_true as the permission callback. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 5.5.0.)

Thanks. What’s strange is that it hasn’t happened on my other site.

Are you hosting both websites on the same server?

Yes, both are on SIteGround’s GoGeek plan. It hasn’t been an issue before, just cropped up out of the blue. I know nothing about REST API or PHP. I’m just a hobbyist with knowledge of HTML and CSS.

Hmm, please let us know if it’s happening again.

It could be related to our server outage from a day ago… but this behavior isn’t something we have seen before.

Please bump this topic once it happens again so we can troubleshoot it.

It is still happening. I’ve kept it disabled on that site for now. But it isn’t happening on the other site I have.
